Who is Archodev? Archodev is me, Matthew Werfelmann, budding software developer and amateur 3D artist. I’m the one who built this website and either built or contributed to all the art and software you see displayed here!
What is ArchoDev?
Archodev is my personal website where I can and will display all the software development and 3D modeling achievements and projects that I have worked on. The name itself comes from a combination of two of my biggest interest in life, Archosaurs (like dinosaurs!) and software development. While it might seem limited at first, I expect this website, especially its portfolio page, to grow in the coming months.
Where is ArchoDev?
Where does Archodev operate? While I am currently based out of Spokane Washington, USA, the convenience and power of remote working allows me to be flexible in where I can work on any project or for any company willing to take me on. Although my goal is to eventually move to Quebec, so expect the French language to be one of my strong-suites soon.
When was Archodev?
When was Archodev started? Archodev as an idea started when I was younger and in high school. Playing video games with my friends inspired us to all want to pursue game and software development when we were that age, and while life has taken my friends down other paths in life, I have continued strong in my desire to build digital creations like 3D art and software. Now, Archodev officially has started in the year 2024 towards the end of my formal education as I ready myself for industry.
Why ArchoDev?
Why was Archodev started? Archodev represents a deep passion within me to create tangible things like software. To build digital creations like software applications and 3D worlds and objects is to continually learn and grow as a person as you engage in the process of creation. I love learning new things and having something to show for that effort, which is why software development and artistry is important to me and is why I started this website.
